Time flies when you’re having fun and it certainly has for us over the past five years. Back in 2016, we collected the keys to Surf Haven and started work to turn it into Bude’s favourite adults-only bed and breakfast.
In that time, there isn’t a room we haven’t completely redecorated. We’ve added extra rooms and changed the layout of the property to make sure we can offer our guests the most relaxing experience when they come to stay with us.
We’ve sourced amazing ingredients from local producers to ensure our breakfasts are second-to-none. We’ve worked with local artists who now have the opportunity to display their amazing paintings in our breakfast room.
It’s been tough at times – the pandemic has been so incredibly hard for everyone in the area – but both we and the whole of Bude has bounced back this summer.
We’re now welcoming both regular, returning guests and, excitingly, newcomers to Bude who are enjoying a staycation in the area for the first time and discovering the wonderful attractions and countryside that North Cornwall has to offer.
Don’t worry though, we’re not resting on our laurels. We’ve got some exciting plans for our rooms in 2022 and, no matter what next year brings, you can be sure that we’ll be here to offer you the hearty, warm welcome and sumptuous rooms that you’ve come to expect. We’re really looking forward to seeing you all again.
So, raise a glass of fizz with us – it’s been a wonderful first five years. I wonder what the next five will bring!
